At the beginning of his tour in the U.S. Egyptian International cartoonist Amr Fahmy began a tour of the United States with his arrival in New York, where he was received by Ambassador Osama Abdel Khalek, Egypt's Permanent Representative to the UN.
The Egyptian artist is displaying his paintings of international celebrities in an exhibition titled "Stars in the Sky." The exhibition includes portraits of famous figures such as Former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, First U.S. President George Washington, U.S. Egyptian scientist Ahmed Zewail, the International novelist Naguib Mahfouz, Walt Disney, International actor Omar Sharif, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations Mr. Boutros Ghali, Freud, the pioneer of psychology and Former President Barak Obama.
The exhibition will be active for a week, from Monday, April 7, to Friday, April 11, and will be attended by ambassadors, diplomats, and prominent figures from New York.
Also, Fahmy has previously held exhibitions in Egypt, Berlin, Rome, London, Madrid and Paris. After the exhibition concludes in New York, it will move to the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C. for another week.
